“Blue!”
My favorite moment of Ashley and John’s family portrait session was the look of surprise on their daughter’s face when she and her Popi guessed the same color. How could he possibly know?! It was a perfect snapshot of joy!
Before we even started playing games, I knew this would be a fun family session because the girls were full of energy and giggles. We started off with a short walk down a path at Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve to find a field of flowers. They make the perfect backdrop for twirling, cheek sandwiches, and family walks!
Grandpa and grandma (Popi and MeeMaw) joined us for the session, helping to play games and elicit extra giggles when needed (especially when bouncing babies and piggyback rides were necessary).
Fortunately, Ashley and John also brought their adorable goldendoodle, Millie, with them (dogs are always welcome), so we were able to grab a few snapshots of EVERYONE in the family.
Once we started wrapping up, Ashley and John’s family planned to end the warm summer night with a classic end of session treat – ice cream. A great way to help encourage littles to participate throughout the evening!
