Fall Portrait Session at Cuba Marsh

At the end of October, I shot an unseasonably warm fall portrait session with Chris, Lindsay, and their son Parker at Cuba Marsh. No mittens required!

Parker started out a bit shy, but we quickly found some topics to talk about, such as Halloween. Parker wanted to be a bulldozer for Halloween! This meant that Lindsay got to be a traffic cone and Chris had to find another construction-related costume (Yellow stripes? Caution tape?). I definitely look forward to finding out what Chris ended up as!

Throughout the session, Parker was in such a playful mood. We had a lot of fun playing little games to incorporate variety into their family photos. We played Ring-Around-the-Rosie, airplane, the color game—Parker even found a stick that quickly turned into a spaceship. One of his favorite games was getting to swing between his parents while doing the walking pose (we made sure to play that game several times).

One of my personal favorites was having Parker take a photo by himself. To prepare him for it, we had Chris go first, which means we have an adorable set of photos of Chris and Parker doing the same pose!

After our fall portrait session was over, Lindsay and Chris were planning on taking their family out to eat nearby—a great way to end a fun evening.

Lindsay and Chris, thank you for letting me join you for your family photos this fall. You were all so much fun to photograph!
